Hey Mindfreaks!
I can't believe how much boiling hot water hurts. I was making my husband and I some dinner yesterday and decided on spaghetti. Now I had already gotten the meat sauce ready and was working on the noodles. With spaghetti, if you don't stir the noodles at least once, they will stick to your pot. Well, I stirred my pot and some of the water spilled out onto me. It was more like a splash. It hit my stomach right where my war wounds ( stretchmarks from having Brendan) were. That area is very sensitive on my stomach as it hasn't gone back to normal yet. It burned so quickly i barely had a chance to react. I grabbed my icepack and put it on the burn. Man, that felt so good.
However, it still hurts right now and has left a 2 inch red area on my stomach. I can't lie on my stomach right now. So, I advise to watch out for the spaghetti! It has a mind of its own! LOL!

9/2/08 0 CommentsI love my little man!!!
Hey Mindfreaks!
Lots of updating to do as I've neglected my blog for a bit cause rasing a baby is a difficult task at times.
Anyways, Brendan is growing up so fast! He just turned 4 months old and can already hold his bottle himself. He is also eating the strained foods as breast milk isn't enough for him anymore. I definetly know now when people say boys are big eaters, they aren't kidding! Everytime Brendan sees his bowl and spoon, he hollars with excitement. Once you get the food in his mouth you have to start shovelling it fast or he will cry. What a little man I have on my hands. Hes only 4 months old and has a 6 month old girlfriend! LOL! He has really blossomed. He is trying to stand and can almost crawl. He goes for his 4 month check up soon so we'll see what the doctor thinks about his progress. Knowing my doctor, she'll look at him and tell me he is growing too fast or is obese. Trust me though, he isn't a chubby baby, he is very tall. He is over 2 feet now. I love my little monkey. He has as of late, become a fan of the Disney movie CARS. He loves it when Lightning McQueen say Cachow! Its so satisfying to see his little smile after.
Anyways, Now that I've bored you to death with my mommy stories, recently Kelvin and I celebrated our 3rd year married Anniversary. We don't have alot of money but I made sure we had a good dinner at least. I decided, even though I couldn't afford to, that Brendan and I would go shopping for a cheap gift for Daddy. We ended up at Walmart and when we got to the baking section, Brendan got all excited! So, I let him pick out some baking stuff ( of course I helped, hes only 4 months old! LOL!). Then we went to No Frills and picked up some steaks to cook on the BBQ. Over all it was a nice night. Dinner of Steak, mashed Potatoes and gravy, salad and to top it off a home made chocolate cake. DELICIOUS! It was nice to have a night to just kick back and relax as a family. Not too many days does that happen. We also mourned my stepdads death. He died on my wedding day 3 years ago. SO technically the 27th of August is a good day and a sad day.
Ok thats it for now. Keep It Real YOU MINDFREAKS! Loyally, ~MIMI and Brendan!

Hey Mindfreaks!
Today Brendan got put into the spotlight when a baby photographer came to take his pictures. It was some sort of complimentary service the hospital provides after you have a baby. i don't have the actual pictures he took but took some of my own after he left. It was too funny. Brendan cried for him but when mommy took his picture, he smiled. Heres some of them...He is so precious to me.

8/21/08 1 CommentI found my friend....but was it too late?
Hey Mindfreaks!
As you all probably know, Facebook has become one of the biggest ways of communication for people to chat with and find people they thought were gone. Well, i thought I would try to find my friend John. He was my best friend in highschool. We did everything together. There wasn't a thing I wouldnt' do for him. Well, In highschool I met a girl named Mandy. She became my friend and because John was my friend, his also. To make a long story short, through no fault of his own, John fell hard for her. They ended up dating unti one day she lied to him about something. I being the good friend I am, tried to console him only to find out that he had a crush on me for 3 years but didn't know how to tell me. WHAT!?! Well we dated for about 3 weeks. Through those 3 weeks everyday Mandy would call and say she was sick and needed someone to help her. Well, I had to work so I sent John to take care of her until I got off work. Again, Long story short, she lied, he got her pregnent and married her. Yes, I was a little hurt but none the less, I'm a good friend and was willing to over look it.
Throughout they're marriage, she would give me the worst looks and comments. It got to a point where she told him not to ever talk to me again. Chosing his wife over friendship, he did as he was told. My friendship was taken away from me.
Now as I stated in the title, I found John again on Facebook. So I decided to add him as a friend and send him a message. I found an email in my inbox from John! I was so happy as he was my best friend. The email kinda threw me for a loop. I wasn't sure by the way he was talking weither he wanted to be friends again or not. Surprisingly, he does. He ended up asking me what happened to our friendship. Do you think I told him? Nope. I couldn't. I'm not that type of person to talk smack about anyone even if they hurt me. So i just said we must have lost contact. Now, I'm not sure weither I should pursue this friendship or leave it as it was. What do you think guys? Keep it real YOU MINDFREAKS! Loyally, ~MIMI and Brendan.

Ok, I'm a Canadian fan of Criss's and have been for quite some time. I've enjoyed magic since I was little and Have always wondered the mystery behind it. I've learned "tricks" from Criss's DVDs and from my own mentor Brent Mackie. Every weekend I would look forward to David Copperfields show on the TV just to see what was next to come. He amazed me when he disappeared Disneys Castle.
I love making new friends and learning about other cultures. However, things I have no patience for is fake people. You know who you are so please don't try to befriend me if your only intent is to harm me or any of my close friends. Other than that, I'm very approachable and a good listener.
